We suggest that you come along together with your child to visit our setting before they start. This enables you both to be comfortable with the environment and meet the team.
You will be invited to come along to a Welcome meeting with your child to meet the team and other parents and their children who will be starting. The session lasts for 1.5 hours. You will meet the child’s key person and find out what you need to bring and all about the setting whilst your child is able to play.
We follow the Government guidance and adhere to the EYFS.
Your child’s progress will be accessed through our online Tapestry Journals, You will be asked to agree to the terms and set up on Tapestry where you can then access it through your mobile phone or laptop.
A key person will be allocated to your child. They will look after, assess, plan and observe your child. If you have any worries or concerns you can speak with your child’s key person or the Manager.
Please provide a named water filled bottle and a rucksack with a change of clothes, underwear, nappies, wipes and nappy sacks if needed.
A healthy snack is given to the children. We encourage parents to contribute to the snack each week. It will be pieces of fruit or vegetable either a bread stick or crackers and milk or water. Each week we will let you know by our weekly emails the snack we need.
We have Our Schools App – which can be downloaded from your app store you will need to type in our name and/or our address to access. This will have lots of useful information it will send reminders on your phone for events and lots more. We have a Facebook page, website that is updated and we send a weekly email of what we have been doing during. Each day there will be a notice in the window of what we have been doing that day so you can talk with your child about what they may have been playing with.
